Engine 371
Engine 371 is the newest apparatus the department has. It was ordered in XX of 2005 and placed in service on July 1, 2006. Engine 371 is capable of carrying 6 firefighters; One driver/engineer, one officer, and four firefighters.
This type of truck has a cross mount pump panel. This allows the pump operator to see the fire fighters and react quickly to any emergency that may arise.
This truck is also equipped with a foam injection system. The system allows us to use type A or B foam, depending on the type of fire. The pump operator can easily push a button to allow foam be injected into the hose lines at predetermined settings.
Engine 371 has huge amounts of storage space for hand tools and other rescue equipment. It handles almost every type of run including structure fires, auto accidents, and other rescue operations.
