Reflective Address Signs
Reflective Address signs as you can see here are extremely helpful to the Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement Personnel. There are so many different types of numbers out there, as well as different media to put them on. We see address on mailboxes, rocks, landscape features, sides of houses, different sides of mailboxes, ect. Since there is no required standard, in most places, safety personnel need to be extremely alert and in some cases it can cause significant delays in response times. Many times as crews are approaching the scene, the personnel are discussing their responsibilites, and what needs to happen in what order. If the driver needs help locating a household, it takes away from this preparation.
We recommend purchasing one of these types of signs from our Department, or another source. We would recommend getting the sign with the numbers on both sides of the sign and placing it so you can read those numbers easily from both directions.
